RunLab is built on two core principles: a passion for running and an expert approach. We are committed to bringing the latest sports science and performance technologies to runners in Cyprus, which is why we offer our VO₂ Max Functional Testing service.
Functional testing is an advanced assessment designed to measure the key physiological parameters required for effective training planning and performance monitoring. The test determines your aerobic threshold, anaerobic threshold, maximum oxygen uptake (VO₂ Max), metabolic equivalent (METS), individual heart rate training zones, and other important performance metrics.
Testing is performed using licensed KORR MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES equipment (korr.com) together with a professional Matrix treadmill (maximum speed: 3:00 min/km). The results provide laboratory-grade accuracy, helping you optimize both your training program and nutrition to achieve your athletic goals.
After the assessment, you'll receive personalized recommendations for training based on your heart rate and VO₂ data, as well as nutritional guidance and daily calorie recommendations.
The assessment takes approximately one hour. During the test, you will wear a respiratory mask and a heart rate monitor while measurements are taken both at rest and during treadmill exercise. The metabolic analyzer measures heart rate and VO₂ Max, generating a comprehensive report that our specialists use to prepare personalized training and nutrition recommendations.
We recommend repeating the assessment every 4–6 months to monitor improvements in your fitness and track your progress over time.
The exercise test measures the key physiological parameters needed to evaluate your current fitness level and training potential, including aerobic threshold, anaerobic threshold, VO₂ Max, METS, personalized heart rate training zones, and other important performance indicators.
The resting metabolic assessment measures your resting metabolic rate, allowing us to calculate optimal calorie intake and create a training plan tailored for body composition or weight management goals.
